- Wash your Ironwood products in warm water and soap.
- Towel dry. Prop up to allow the wood to fully dry.
- Never submerge acacia wood in water or put it in the dishwasher!
- Regular oiling will help to maintain the deep luster of the Acacia wood and ensure your Ironwood products last for years to come.
- When your Ironwood cutting board first arrives it will be thirsty, oil your board once a day for the first week to "season" the board.
- Once your board is seasoned, oil it once a month for the first year, and at least once a year for life.
- Our food-grade blend of mineral and citrus oils is great at preventing cracks.
- Don't use an oil that can go bad like olive or canola oil.
- To deep clean and deodorize your board or bowl make a paste with coarse salt and lemon juice.
- It is highly unlikely that your board will warp if you avoid submerging it in water and oil it regularly.
- If your board warps, wet the warped side of the board and place a heavy object on top and let gravity do its thing. A glass baking dish that is a similar size as the board works well.

I was exited to receive my Salinas X Large Salad Bowl. I didn't even mind when it arrived a day late due to a mistake with the shipping. I was not prepared, however, for the condition in which the bowl arrived. First, the inside of the bowl was liberally dispersed with nicks and scratches. Not a few light scratches here and there. THESE were some serious gouges. Ok. Fine. It's inside the bowl. There will be salad in the bowl, so who's gonna see them, right? I could live with that. But there were also the same nicks and scratches on the OUTSIDE RIM of the bowl, where EVERYONE can see. Needless to say, this is a dealbreaker for me and I'm trying for a refund. Too bad. I had high hopes.

What a stunning salad bowl!!!! Only complaint is that I had to order 3 as the first 2 (Amazon fulfilled) came broken. The third was crazy dry and looked pretty gnarly so I soaked it in mineral oil before wrapping it (gift). It’s a beautiful piece and was a complete hit! You guys might want to have a chat with Amazon. There was barely any packing in 1 delivery and no packing in 2.

This is a very large salad bowl, wide opening narrows perfectly and has an inside lip to keep items in the bowl while tossing. It�s solid but not heavy, easy to manage. I�d highly recommend conditioning the bowl with a food grade mineral oil to bring out its full beauty. I can�t stand trying to mix food in small containers, so this is my dream. Sure it�s good for a crowd but I mix my Cesar for two in this baby, love it!!!
Absolutely beautiful wooden bowl. Fabulous size and great value! Will be a great Caesar salad bowl!
