- Wash your Ironwood products in warm water and soap.
- Towel dry. Prop up to allow the wood to fully dry.
- Never submerge acacia wood in water or put it in the dishwasher!
- Regular oiling will help to maintain the deep luster of the Acacia wood and ensure your Ironwood products last for years to come.
- When your Ironwood cutting board first arrives it will be thirsty, oil your board once a day for the first week to "season" the board.
- Once your board is seasoned, oil it once a month for the first year, and at least once a year for life.
- Our food-grade blend of mineral and citrus oils is great at preventing cracks.
- Don't use an oil that can go bad like olive or canola oil.
- To deep clean and deodorize your board or bowl make a paste with coarse salt and lemon juice.
- It is highly unlikely that your board will warp if you avoid submerging it in water and oil it regularly.
- If your board warps, wet the warped side of the board and place a heavy object on top and let gravity do its thing. A glass baking dish that is a similar size as the board works well.

Excellently designed carving board with an ample well for drippings (just what I’ve been looking for!). However, the execution was not of optimum quality. The wood was roughly sawn in several areas - needs sanding or smoothing. Also a miss-cut on the surface of the board (doesn’t affect the cutting surface). Could be slightly more sloped for better collection of meat juices..
My daughter wanted a cutting board, and this is my Christmas gift to her and her husband.i wa impressed
I got this for a friend as a gift and he LOVES it. They entertain a lot and he will cook a prime rib or steaks. He will let the meat rest then carve and present on the board. Beautiful. Great quality too.
We grill a lot. We have had ours now for years and It still looks great. It is nice enough to also serve from. Perfect for large cuts/amounts of food as well - even the Thanksgiving Turkey. I have purchased one for each of our sons .
I just bought this board as my old carving board had seen its last days. I look forward to using this on special occasions!
